Marriage is a beautiful union. It isn't always easy.
Even the strongest relationships face something that tests their foundation. Marriage coaching at The Hope Exchange is faith based couples work aimed at rediscovering love, trust and connection, at understanding the issue underneath the argument rather than just the argument itself, and at building communication strategies that hold up once the session is over. Couples bring all kinds of things into the room, and infidelity, financial stress and parenting challenges are among the ones we see most often. None of it needs to be tidy or fully explained before you call.
How this is different from working it out alone
A session runs about an hour and costs $125, the same fee for two people as for one. Sessions are usually weekly to start, and most couples plan for four to eight before deciding together where things stand. We don't file insurance claims, and we'd rather be upfront about the cost of coaching than let money quietly decide whether you get help.

What couples bring in
The hard conversations, held carefully.
Infidelity, money trouble and disagreements over raising kids are three of the most common reasons a couple ends up in this room, and none of them are unusual or unworkable here. The goal in the first session is simply to understand where the two of you actually are, not to assign blame for how you got there.
If getting to 82nd Street together every week is the obstacle, virtual coaching covers the same sessions over video instead of in the room, and couples working through something more urgent can ask about intensive coaching, a condensed block rather than one session a week.
